Alterations & Special Orders
If you need any of our garments to be changed in some way; maybe a different
style of cuff, or an option not currently offered, we're glad to help.
As long as we don't have to make a whole new garment from scratch, chances
are we can accomodate you. Our charge for such work is $20.00 plus the
cost of any extra material involved. Just contact Don
J. Morin or if you'd rather talk in person, dial Toll-Free 1-888-410-2243
and someone will discuss your order over the phone.
We cannot offer to make custom garments from scratch at this time.
Measurement Tips
Dont try to take your own measurements by yourself. Only a contortionist
can do it successfully! Enlist the aid of a friend.
Stand in a relaxed position or sit (if that is your normal position) and
look straight ahead when being measured. Do not take measurements in the
repose position. For the "around" measurements, keep the tape
measure parallel to the floor. The tape should be snug, but not tight,
against the body.
To find the shoulder point, raise the arm to shoulder level. A dimple
will form at the shoulder bone --- that is the shoulder point.
To find the nape of the neck, lower the head forward into the chest so
you can feel the first vertebra of the spine.
Finding Your Size
The measurements shown for each size refer to the actual finished
garment, not body dimensions. Measure your body and compare it to the
actual measurements of the garments being offerred (in the following
tables), to find a fit. These garments are designed to fit loosely to
allow multiple layers of clothing underneath for extra warmth.
Therefore, The arm length is the most critical.
| Child Sizing: |
Take the time to measure your child, rather than relying on their
age for sizing. |
| Chest/Bust: |
Measure fullest circumference, keeping tape up under arms and across
shoulder blades. |
| Arms: |
Bend elbow gently (place hand on hips), then measure from
center of back of neck to point of shoulder, down to back of elbow, and
forward to where you would like the cuff of the garment to end. |
Finished Length /
Back Length: |
Measure from the nape of
the neck, down along backbone (spine) to where you want the back hem of
garment to lay. |
| Front Length: |
Measure from the collar bone, down the front to where you want the front hem of garment to lay. |
